What is LendSAFE's privacy policy in three sentences?
We keep your personal information locked up, behind firewalls, encryption and other secure technologies.
We don't share your names with any other external party - you're a LendSAFE member, not a name in a database we can sell.
We treat your information the way we'd want our own personal information to be treated.
What this Privacy policy Covers
This Privacy policy covers LendSAFE’s treatment of personally identifiable information that LendSAFE collects when you are on the LendSAFE site, and when you use LendSAFE’s services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that LendSAFE does not own or control, or to people that LendSAFE does not employ or manage.
Information Collection and Use
There are two kinds of information that websites can obtain about you - Aggregate Information and Personally Identifiable Information. Aggregate Information is anonymous data that websites use to analyse trends, administer the website, diagnose problems on the site's servers, track user movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use and to help improve the quality of the web pages. It may be your domain name or your IP address. None of this information is connected with Personally Identifiable Information which is any information that can personally identify you.
If you choose not to provide certain personal information about you or your client, we may not be able to provide you with the services you require, or the level of service on which we pride ourselves.
LendSAFE may collect personally identifiable information when you register as a LendSAFE member, when you use certain products or services, when you visit LendSAFE’s pages, or complete an application or enquiry form.
LendSAFE may also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, LendSAFE’s cookie information and the page you requested. LendSAFE uses information for three general purposes: to customise the content you see, to fulfil your requests for certain information, issues and services, and to contact you about information, issues and services.
Security
In certain areas LendSAFE uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions.
We will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information with anyone without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law. Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request for information and to contracted service providers for purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you.
LendSAFE may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when, and only when:
- We have your consent to share the information;
- We need to share your information to provide the information, issues or service you have requested;
- We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of LendSAFE to provide information, issues or services to you. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.);
- We respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process

LendSAFE Pty Ltd may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages. We suggest you review this policy on a regular basis.
Privacy and the law
Information gathered in LendSAFE’s report applications is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth), including the credit provision in Part IIIA and the National Privacy Principles issued by the Australian Privacy Commissioner in September 2001.
Seeking access to the personal information LendSAFE holds about you
You have the right to seek access the personal information held about you and to advise LendSAFE of any inaccuracy. There are some exceptions to this right set out in the Privacy Act. If you make an access request, LendSAFE will ask you to verify your identity and specify what information you require. LendSAFE may charge a fee to cover the costs of meeting your request.
LendSAFE Members can access their membership information LendSAFE holds about them at any time by logging in to the website using their personal login details or by calling the LendSAFE office and speaking with one of our consultants. We are as keen as you are to ensure that our information about you is accurate.
If after reading this document you still have queries or concerns about the privacy of the information we hold, or if you want it changed, de-identified, deleted or provided to you, just contact us by email, phone, fax or letter. We will endeavor to respond to your request within 2 working days of receipt of such.
Is Online Shopping Safe?
Shopping conducted through reputable online retailers is recognized as being as safe as giving your credit card to retailers over the telephone, or using a credit card in a store or restaurant. If the site is secure, your web browser will display a special icon - a closed padlock or an unbroken key on the bottom of your screen - to show that a merchant has a secure transaction system. As well, the address of the web page will begin with "https" instead of the usual "http". This indicates that your credit card data is transmitted using encryption technology.
LendSAFE has a secure transaction system. Our 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure online commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, as the information travels over the Internet.
As always when using passwords and login details, keep them safe and don't share them with other people.
Still don't want to use your credit card on the Internet?
Unfortunately we do not have a telephone or fax ordering service at present however this may change if customer demand warrants such a facility. We would appreciate you contacting us at admin@lendsafe.com.au with your feedback if you really would like to purchase some reports however are not prepared to use our online payment system. This will allow us to contact you directly and also gauge customer demand and provide alternative payment options in the future, if appropriate.
At this point in time, the only other service we offer for payment is direct debit to your nominated bank account. Please call for details on how to access this service.
